Collaboration Meeting

It's a Saturday. United beat Birmingham 5-0 today. Berbatov scored a hat-trick. I'm pleased about that but I'm missed the game. Why? I try not to miss any United matches. Today I'm at Fermilab for Day Two of the three day NOvA Collaboration meeting. I spent most of the morning adding the finishing touches to my talk for the Calibration session. I was up until 5 am running reconstruction code in order to complement my presentation just before lunch. I reported on results of looking at the NOvA data with a cosmic ray tracker and presented the first preliminary cosmic ray rates. Now I'm listening to the plenary talks on WLS fibres, PVC and other detector material components. It's the collaboration dinner tonight. Good time for all of is physicists to bang our heads together to work out how on earth we are going to be able to watch 'Da Bears!' NFL divisional conference playoff game tomorrow at 2pm when we're supposed to be running through a huge transformation of the software framework!
